Day Four, old, new, and blue...

A plethora of ideas come to mind throughout the course of the day when I think about things to be thankful for. Writing prompts...like the ones for the Joy Dare....sometimes stifle. especially, when it's a man doing the writing...old, new, and blue? really?

Here's my try...

It was a Florida winter day, yesterday...didn't get much out of the 50s with lots of wet and wind. This morning when getting ready for the day I reached for an old friend...my Eddie Bauer fireside shirt... I bought it when we were still living in the northern country...wore it a lot back then, now...not so much.

Yeah, kind of hokey here...thankful for clothes? But yes, I am thankful for clothes. I think about the fact that we are clothed. That Jesus promised us food and clothing...what a promise that is: seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. 

As for new?

We had an opportunity to meet up with Christy's aunt today. What a wonderful time. Sitting and talking about old times and trying to figure out what new adventures we could have as a family, moving forward. I'm thankful for the new chapter that God is writing in our lives together.
