Pineapple Productivity

It's hard to believe that our tiny piece of land (1/3 of an acre) can hold our pineapple grove of 43-soon to be 48 (because I have tops from pineapples I've grown to plant yet!) plants. I have about four baby pineapples (we just cut #5 up yesterday!) on the stem ripening!
Here are some pictures:

A baby

This is actually one plant that sprouted a "pup"...I recently got a pineapple from one of the pups that came from a top we planted a year or so ago!

Here is a picture of the one we cut up yesterday...

Our "courtyard" houses about 12 or more plants.

This is so exciting! This is the top from one of the pineapples I grew!

This is a pot we have by the door...there are like 5 or 6 plants in there!

I have more out front and in the backyard but these are the only pictures I have right now!

If you would like to start a pineapple plant just instead of throwing away the top when you cut up a pineapple from the store, let it sit until the fruit on the bottom has dried out. Then peel the dried fruit and foliage from the bottom until about and inch of the root is exposed, then plant 'er wherever you see fit!
