A few weeks ago Daddy heard about a bunch of boats that were being sold for a song before they were bought by someone who was going to scrap them. Daddy went and checked them out... they were all in pretty rough shape- they had been just sitting there (on land) for years and very dirty- some of them even had plants growing in them! Well, as Daddy was looking he spotted this little O'Day day sailor! He called his dad, asking if he was interested and he was (more than we knew, apparently!) so Daddy and I brought the dinghy trailer and James with us and-it definitely took some sweat on Daddy's part!-pulled it out of that boat graveyard!
Here's what it looked like when we got it home:

That looks like fun to ride in doesn't it? :)
First thing the next morning we got out there with a pressure washer, bleach, brushes and rags. All the sweat that day certainly payed off... That weekend we brought it down to Grandma and Grandpa and boy were they pleased!
Grandpa apparently has been working on it nonstop... Grandma just sent us these pictures:
Does that boat not look like it's smiling???
Just wanted to show you that even though something has been decaying and neglected for years...
that it can be restored to beauty, just like what Jesus can do with people's hearts...
"Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come."
~2 Corinthians 5:17
Just like we took this little boat that was destined to be destroyed, Jesus took your soul that was destined for hell and washed it clean and made it new. Now this boat can be utilized to it's fullest and so can your heart now that the burden of sin has been lifted and clean!
Hope I made ya think ;)
